Labor Day Weekend

Over the Labor Day weekend I spent most of my time with family.  Spending time with my family is one of the most important things to me.  I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for them.  I would say that I am very lucky to have such a close family, sometimes people take for granted having a family or being able to see them often, because some kids don't even know who their parents are.  My family does a lot of things together, such as going camping or just getting together to hang out.  Over Labor Day weekend, some of my family went to an Iowa hawkeye football game.  It was very fun to go to the game with them and just hang out before and after.  I enjoy doing fun things with my family like that, and hope that I am able to continue doing that.

  1. Megan, your family sounds a lot like mine. My parents are always trying to get me to go camping with them. lol One of the things i like most is looking at my little cousins, noting how much they've grown since the last time I've seen them. I also love hearing about, or watching them try crazy things that the shouldn't do. The kind of things I used to do, when I was a kid. Like trying to ride a bike down a slide, or trying to jump off from the deck. It's cute, but at the same time they are learning from every stitch, and bruise.

  2. Megan, your family sounds very fun. I'm jealous of how close everyone sounds. My family used to be like that, but things started happening and now I am very rarely able to see my entire family together having fun. I miss the closeness that used to be there. On the less depressing side, it sounds like you had a blast on Labor Day. :)

  3. Megan, I wish my family was more like that. I usually always see my moms side of the family because that is who I am always with. My dads side of the family I see probably 4 times in year. My family isn't very close and I wish that everyone in my family would be more family oriented and want to do things with my family. Most of the people in my family take what they have for granted and don't see that family is important. Sounds like you had fun labor day weekend though.
